The team supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision of a team of case managers while acting as a Qualified Mental Health Professional to meet requirements for community support services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of an assigned team of case managers.
- Assist case managers in developing effective relationships with consumers, families, other agencies and COMCARE providers.
- Maintain communication with other COMCARE services and state/community partners to ensure program effectiveness.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff including field mentoring where case managers meet with their clients in the community.
- Conduct client assessments and provide direct clinical intervention with adults with severe mental illness as needed.
- Arrange or provide case management services as needed in the absence of an assigned case manager.
- Participate in program planning, development and operation.
- Participate in the hiring process, train staff in policies, documentation, approved mental health interventions and other job related topics.
- · Monitor case manager performance according to agency standards and conduct employee performance evaluations.
Job Standards:
Must be licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to diagnose and treat mental health disorders (LMLP, LCP, LMSW, LSCSW,LMFT, LCMFT, LPC or LCPC).
Two or more years experience in community mental health service delivery, to include supervisory experience, preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
